so re-valuating all the comments on this thread, i am left to assume that between 1920 and 1927 peter mcnamee arrived in Sydney port with his wife Catherine and his son Ernest, but i still cannot verify this, anybody help?

thanks Jen, is that 1/9/56?, i had a wee look at Ellis island site last night, there was 25 different patrick mcnamee's, the closest one i could find arrived on the 5th may 1909, but the site only dates to 1924, there was no arrival for peter in that website, so i will need to look somewhere else now for 1925 onwards, anybody any idea?

for all who were replying and watching this thread, doing more research has come up with the year 1921 for peter mcnamee's arrival in Australia, again i would believe he went to Sydney

Hello there

I am probably stating the obvious to you  but on the nsw death certificate it should say how long he was in australia for also  the names on his children

this information  will be only as accurate  as the person who gives it !

thanks Jenn, i am just waiting to hear from Peter's descendants in Australia about the death certificate, the family cannot tell me when Peter arrived in Australia or what boat he was on, hence the reason for the last post, i was hoping someone would pick it up and find his arrival for me or point me in a direction i have not been yet
