OK Meanwhile, I'll see if I can find anything out, as the Local FHS is having a FH Day on Thursday, soI'll see if they can help, though they give me the impression that they don't like helping unless I join them .... all my lot are from the East End.

Christine,Hunts is Huntingdonshire. William Cope christened 17th August 1834 Great Staughton Huntingdonshire Parents James Cope and Mary Dawkes.And heres the family in 1841 in Gt Staughton,Hunts. James Cope/30/Ag Lab/Mary/30/Ann /5/William/5/Maria/3/Emma/1.Best Wishes Welsh Lady

Hi Christine,

The 1834 christening is a member submission on the IGI which are notoriously unreliable - some are OK but many are pure fiction. It needs checking with the Parish Register before any credence is placed on it (although it does seem to stack up).

Hunts Marriage Index has a marriage in Gt Staughton in 1831 between James Cope and Mary Dawkes
