Please can anyone help locatingJames LOGAN and Jess EDMESTON  who had dau Catherine LOGAN bap in Berwick upon Tweed 1838 not sure if they were married

This is the right Catherine on 1851 she is a12 yr old house servant to the SHARPs, and when she marries says her name was SHARP father unknown A search led us to the baptism and her birth cert 1838 Catherine LOGAN. No marriage or any other ch to the couple has been found. The SHARPS appear to have been childless so we have ruled out Catherine being a grandchild more like a sort of adoption but would still like to know who Jess and James were as they are direct line
