Photo of Uniform

Hi

Trying to find what uniform this is, for my American cousin. MJP has kindly told me that the photographer was T.S.Hill from St Catharines,Ontario.

my first thoughts are that the uniform is not armed forces more, masonic or some sort of friendly society, kali.

On this site the decoration on the belt looks like the one on the cuff...

Looks almost like Knights of Columbus uniform. It is not military.

TS Hill was a photographer in St Catharines in the late 1800s. He had a shop on St Paul St and did some portraits for my family during that time period.
