Hi Keith

The Statue(s) of the lady look to me like a representation of Britannia to me - thus I would think Britain or one of the colonies (being 5th generation Australian I'm allowed to use that word).

Hi Keith

I've played with contrast and levels and such like. I think the first word might just be Stellenbosch  ??? which is South Africa. Not that sure but it definitely looks like colonies (or just poss continental Europe) and I'd go for either South Africa or Canada.

Hello,

Looks like the monument is in Phillips Square in downton Montreal. It is a monument to King Edward vii. Sorry I don't know how to  provide a direct link. You can learn about the monument by googling 'Montreal monument to King Edward vii'.
