Does anyone have any information regarding the family of Matthew Devereux born about 1823 in Wexford.

His Father was John Devereux and mother Bridget ( nee Walsh)

I would also be interested to hear of Devereux marriages as a couple who emigrated to Canada around 1840, named a son Devereux.

Parents were Robert McMinn and Isabella Scott.

Hi Erin

Dont know if this helps, your post was so long back you might have already got further with your research.  I am also researching in Wexford, and went to a graveyard in September 2008 and luckily found what I was looking for.  While there I found nearby the graves I found families of Devereux, I was interested in the name because of a connection to my grandmother.  There was also (I noticed on the names on your profile) a large number of Butler families buried there.  The graveyard was Ladysisland near Broadway Wexford.  The Devereux family there were big landlords and quite affluent owning shops and houses in the town.  Hope it helps after so much time.  I do have a picture of a Deverex grave that was next to my relatives, if you want me to post it to you, send me your email addres via a pm on here and I will send it to you.
