1901 census lookup please

Could sks please check the 1901 census for William Bennie born 1851 Glasgow Scotland. He should be living in Liverpool with his wife Annie and was probably a timber merchant.

Edith Bennie - d. - single - 15 - Drapery - b. Lancs., Litherland

William Bennie - s. - single - 12 - b. Lancs., Litherland

Rebecca Bennie - d. - single - 8 - b. Lancs., Litherland

Malcolm Bennie - s. - single - 6 - b. Lancs., Litherland

Amelia Bennie - d. - single - 4 - b. Lancs., Litherland

Litherland is in the north of the city of Liverpool.

The one difference to the names listed on your posting is that William's wife is called Helen - is 'Annie' a nickname for Helen perhaps?  William's age fits the bill, though, as does his job.

Many thanks Richard, I'm pretty sure this is the right family. I know they had a daughter Alice so that fits. I must have been mistaken about his wife :-)

I have William Bennie m Helen 1901 census.
Helen was born in Holmfirth  but says HolmfOrth
marriage says "Hales" Broadhead m William Bennie !!!
Helen was born 1855 Helen BROADHEAD dau of Matthew Henry Broadhead
Matthew Henry was my G-Grandfather - one time Woollen Mill owner in Holmfirth.
William and Helen Bennie had Malcolm Bennie m Kathleen Thompson
Malcolm and Kathleen had Malcolm A Bennie m Joan M Sutcliffe
Malcolm A and Joan had Michael I Bennie m Gillian Alker
They had sons Robert Edward Bennie and Andrew James Bennie

Thanks for posting Fenboy. I've since found out that I had the wrong William Bennie. Mine lived, married and died in Glasgow.
