Alfred Frank Andrews
« on: Tuesday 23 May 06 13:27 BST (UK) »
I am doing this for my friend.

She told me a sad story.

After the First World War, on one day, her grandfather Alfred rode on his bicycle from Salisbury army base to his wife Bessie Osborne in Moordown, Bournemouth, Dorset (was in Hampshire) and his 8 children (so far as she know) including her father Frederick.

After the visit, he rode back to Salisbury, on the way, he caught pnemonia and died.

How sad that was.

My friend was wondering if anyone look up for his death somewhere between Salisbury to Bournemouth (!)  ???

I also wondered if Alfred was working for army??

Alfred married to Bessie Osborne in 1902 in Christchurch (we have obtained the certificate)

It's all she got on him

Thank you

I've looked from the 1918-1925 and can not find an Alfred Frank, Alfred F or Alfred that would fit yours, ages are not the same and none seem to be registered in either Dorset or Hampshire. Do you think that it could have happened later than 1925 or maybe even before the War ended?

Kate.
