1851 census look up
« on: Thursday 25 May 06 22:11 BST (UK) »
Can anyone please help me with a 1851 census as i have spent loads on scotlandspeople web site and had no look with my mcgeachy (mcgeachie, mcgeachey, mcgeechie) family which i have found on the 1841 and 1861 census first living at spring place, gorbals(1841) then in 1861 living at 6 mathieson street, govan. the head of the family is thomas mcgeachy born ireland c1803 (thomas not on the 1861 wife margeret was head),  wife margaret born ireland c1803 children; william (c1836;govan), ann (c1836;lanark,glasgow), mary ann (c1848), james(c1830;ireland), marion (c1850;govan/renfrew), sarah (c1841;govan/renfrew). i have used every spelling possible but with no look, the 1841 the spelling was mcgeechie. any help would be very much appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure its possibly in the townhead area ..... there is still a St James Road there near Cathedral Street.
