Hi Lisduggan, the following family of Edward Murphy & Anne McGuire,
Catherine, born 3-6-1865, Mary Joseph, born 11-8-1867, died young, Francis, born 15th Oct 1870, Maryann, born 16th Dec 1873 married bartholomew Mahony, Edmund, born 2nd June 1875, bridget, born 25th Feb 1877 married Edward Wymberry, and Elizabeth, born 3-3-1880, on the marriage of Francis Murphy, his parents were living in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford. I have a death cert for  mary mahoney from morrission road  she died 21/10/1946 age 60 i am tolded she was my grandmother??
also I was out in St Marys graveyard to visted my uncle/aunt grave there names are may mahoney  died in 1977/ and bartholomew died 21/3/1984 in the next grave are Bridget/edward wymberry  the dated on the headstone is 13/6/ 1935age 56could this be my grandmother sister  Is possible to send you a private message re this topic

Hi Lisduggan, Yes you can get in touch with me and I would say that the grave of Bridget & Edward Wymberry are yours, as their son Edward was the only other Edward around that time, he married 1934, Margaret O'Connor, and lived at 86 Poleberry, Edward & Bridget lived at 15 High St. You could also write to Miss Emma Power, of St Joseph & Benildus Church Newtown, Waterford City, they have all burials of St Mary's of Ballygunner, but they charge a fee. I have sent a letter to emma power re; mary mahoney died 21/10 1946
No 15 high street was where my father younger child died  her name was kathleen age 4.in 1919 they moved to morrission road not sure of year  he was married in 1935.to mary fary fitzgerald may lane..

Hi Lisduggan, Bartholomew Mahony married 28th Aug 1903, Cathedral, Maryann Murphy, daughter of Edward Murphy & Anne McGuire, of High St, Kathleen was born about the 3rd Dec 1914, which of their children Edward or Bartholomew Mahony married Mary Fitzgerald, of May Lane, as I did a family tree for Tom Fitzgerald' s mother side Marshall, who married Mary's Brother, Patrick of Andrew St >May Lane, Regards Jim

Edward mahoney married  mary fitzgerald july 1935 they had seven children sis boys one girl they were living in griffits place  then moved to morgan street  if you ever meet with tom fitz tell him paddy sends his regards   looking  back it seems spring garden alley  comes up a lot with the mahoneys  regards  pat

I need your help regarding the 1901/1911 census  mary murphy age is 25 on her marriage cert in 1903  i belive she may have been 28
on the 1911 census  she down as 30 i would give it as35/6
on her death cert her age is 60  if you could help i would be grateful

Hi Pat, Maryann was born as the records in Cathedral on 16-12-1873, she is down as 25 y in 1901, census, and 30 in 1911, census but she may have not known her real age, and as Bartholomew was younger would she have said? she was 28 at April 1901 census,  and 38 at 1911 census. disregard the age at death as it is almost never right. hope this will help you Regards Jim
