Hi John

That is curious.  I have checked myself and can see the whole list.  The last name is Young.

I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem or can confirm what they can see?

Regards
Biker

Hello Biker,

A few seconds to load and then I can scroll it down to Young with no problem.

Hi Biker,

Thanks for posting this information. A number of my relatives worked for the GAs Light & Coke Company. I think that the HG Salisbury listed in your index may be one of them. Is there any chance that you could post or send me any information on this chap that you have found in this book?

Thanks again for taking the trouble to transcribe and share all of this information.

Pete

Hello Pete

Just a brief outline to see if you can identify him as yours or not.  There is a photo in the book of HG Salisbury who was in  the Signal Section of "The Rangers".  There is also a brief "War Service Notes" regarding an honour conferred on him by The Czar of Russia and bestowing on him the Cross of the Order of St George.  Pte Salisbury , now 19 years of age has been in the Maintenance Dept of the Company since he was 14 first in Paddington and then in Edgware Road ... etc.

If this is your relative then if you PM me your email I can send you scans of the appropriate pages.

Regards
Biker

Hi Biker, I have recently purchased an item with an inscription on it. The item was presented to a H S REESON of the gas light and coke company London in 1918. In researching this name I have come up with your thread and see his name is listed in your index. Would it be possible to let me have any further information or a picture of him if there is one?
Regards
 Martin.
