Hi Mack,
Many thanks for the info, I do not remember them talking about being together in the mob. William, I was led to believe was in France, and as the photo shows Mesopotamia. John I just don't know, I remember their medals, ive a feeling they were not the same. But they have dissappeared, probably nearer 50 yrs since I saw them. Have to investigate that one.
many thanks
Peter

Mesopotamia
    BHOYS
1916-17-18

That is all it says, the B is slightly larger.

bugger...just a date

but it means they went out in 1916

refer back to that mesopotania site for the general detail but there's a good chance they were part of the lahore division

http://www.1914-1918.net/Lahore_div.htm

so possibly

18th Brigade RFA

43rd Brigade RFA (joined in Mesopotamia?)

215th Brigade RFA (joined in Mesopotamia?)

109th Heavy Battery

Hi Mack,
Many thanks for the info, the other brother John H was in the 18 th Bgde. so its is possible that they met out there, or could have been in the next field or wadi without each other knowing it. It is very strange looking at the maps and finding Shaiba, my daughter is there at the moment with the Aux RAF.
Again many thank the your trouble, ashamed to admit it being ex forces, but I know nothing in detail about either war. But that is deliberate being living out here for nearly 40 years.
best wishes
Peter
