Hello Chloed,
Have you got anymore info on the family, as much as possible. There are thousands of Davies in London, I am having a similar problem. Mine were mantle manufacturers and gold lace makers in Hackney.

hi peter
in 1841 elizabeth davis [ but the family name is actually davies] is at 5 bond street, with her grandchildren, her daughter charlotte griffith [ nee davies] having died 1840. elizabeth is 65 and a shopkeeper, children are joseph, daniel, charlotte, william ,margaret
in 1851 daniel is working on the waterloo r oad in shop which i think is owned either by his uncle or great uncle.
elizabeth is dead and the other kids apart from joseph are with dad in finsbury area.
what really interests me is the davies mob
regards chloe

Hello Chloe,
Many thanks for replying so soon. I don't think that this family is connected to mine. It is such a common name and they moved about all the time that I just have to check everyone. I am sure you are the same. I will keep your family in mind and let you know if anything rises out of the mist.
Good hunting
