Searching for Savages
« on: Wednesday 14 June 06 12:15 BST (UK) »
William Savage apparently emigrated to Australia with his brother Alexander in around the late 1850s/early 1960s - and that is all I know.  Supposedly they came from Ireland, and were in their mid to late teens when they travelled to South Australia.  William married Anne Maria Ward in 1867 in Magill, South Australia.  Any information on William Savage would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Abbyrose:
The Savage name is very common in County Down so that might be worth a look. Here is link to Ros Davies' site where you will see quite a few Williams.

Hope this helps some.
