It's quite common to name children after teachers, doctors, ministers, etc. who are not relatives. There is a Gilmore connection but as I said I have the information on Margaret's family in Ireland and am interested in her later years in England.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks, Monica. Have seen that marriage in the indexes and found a son's birth a few years later in another district. Not sure is he was an only child (Margaret's mother doesn't say in her letter) and the son fighting in Egypt during WWII.

Are you thinking of the birth in West Ham in 1926 as a potential entry? There are a number of birth entries showing after 1926 in West Ham which could be connected.
