AIKEN, Antrim & Middlesex, 19th C
« on: Monday 09 February 04 20:26 GMT (UK) »
I have a James Aiken in my family tree, he was born in Ballyclare, Co Antrim Ireland in 1820 - his father was William.  He married Concordia (Caroline) Barker in 1844 in Middlesex.  I have no idea when he arrived in England, or who his mother was - can anyone help?

Hi Karen  ;)

Are you doing a One Name Study on the entire family name or are you just after information on these particular individuals?   :)

If the latter is the case I will gladly move the post for you to a more relevant board which may help to generate a response for you.   Please let me have any information on possible locations (County etc.) so I can place it in the right board.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

If Karen or anyone else looking for information finds their way here, despite the 14 year gap, please feel free to contact me. James Aiken was a soldier who guarded the Tower of London. I could probably find an approximate year that he came to the United Kingdom. I am however looking for information on his father William and any I formation his mother. Anything before this would obviously also be amazing.
