Andy ,
My name is Tony Bak and I am the Heritage Project Manager at the Barlborough Resource Centre . Park Hall is in the parish of Barlborough and we are researching its history . Thomas Garlick lived at the hall but also purchased Barlborough Hall in 1935 which he sold to the Jesuits in 1938.
The only picture we have of Thomas Garlick is the one used for his obituary notice in the paper and that one is not a good copy .
We would greatly appreciate any copies of photographs that you could supply us with showing Thomas Garlick and his family !!

Kind regards
Tony

Hi Tony
I may be able to help you with a photo.  My aunt who is 87 is Thomas Garlick's daughter.  She has one photo of him which she would like to send to you.  Is there any way she can send it to you directly rather than coming through Roots chat?
Thanks
Julie

Hi Julie ,
I am just enquiring if you received my e mail with personal address  for your auntie to post the photograph direct to the Heritage Room at Barlborough .
Could you possibly clear up a question for me , did Thomas Garlick actually own PARK HALL or did he rent it ?
You can e mail me direct at - kaiser1@tiscali.co.uk .

Kindest regards
Tony

Yes I've sent my aunt your address.  She is getting together her stuff.  We have no idea about Thomas and whether he owned Park Hall.  Don't think we'll be able to help you there.  Will be in touch.
Julie

Hi Julie ,
Sorry to pester you but I have been asked by BARLBOROUGH HALL to produce some display boards of the history of the Hall .
They are holding a garden party on MAY bank holiday to celebrate 70 years of being a school , since Thomas Garlick sold it to them .
I would like to have a board which shows Thomas along with family information , which I have little .
Could you be so kind and prompt your aunt PLEASE as I am going away myself at the end of this month and I would dearly love to have the display ready as soon as possible .

Kind regards
Tony

Hi TOny
Sorry photos never appeared.  My aunt has not found them.
I am really interested in the Garlick family and wonder if it would be possible for me to come to the local history centre in the village near Barlborough which we visited a year or so ago.
WHich days is it open please and would you be available at all to show me around?
Many thanks
Julie
