You have to let the child back in Yvonne. Just draw/paint/collage by instinct. Let the right side be in charge.

And don't just think in terms of portraiture/figurative images. As I said think shapes, colour, texture.

There are so many different ways of drawing - it's making marks, angry marks, soft marks, timid marks, suggesive marks,   lines made with a pencil, a pen, charcoal, rags, ink anda stick, take a line for a walk...........

Enjoy

Sorry to hear that Gadget,

My trouble is restriction of the Brachial nerve & Fibromyalgia, so I can't hold my arm up & have to support it, also can't grip things too long, but my arm is a little more relaxed with the mouse, still can't overdo it with too much restoration  ;)

Yvonne,
Dont worry - just plod along and do what you can when you can. Take that from some one who has absolutely no use of his right wrist and about 5% use and a lot of pain in his left wrist. But I still spent half of today pruning trees and the other half doing houswork and  computing - maybe tommorrow I shall do nothing!!!!!

                                           Just keep trying

Thanks Denn,  :)

I still manage to do my gardening & ignore the problems as best I can, .... that's the great thing about computers & the Net, it's great for those people who can't get out as much & have disabilities, it certainly keeps your mind active, but we need to get our exercise also & keep a balance  ;)

Yes Gadget, :)

You're never too old to learn new tricks, I couldn't even type before we got the computer  :)

Oooh Yvonne, Denn, Gadget

I love to hear and feel positive vibes

Lots of    :)   :)   :)  instead of   :'(   :'(   :'(

Youre right though Gadget - so much is a right brain thing.  If the ideas keep flowing the body somehow finds a way to express it.

I work with people who are classed as disabled  but disability is not a body thing if you can find a way to do something to your satisfaction you are not disabled merely hindered.
If only the public generally would accept the spectrum of ability and stop using boxes to categorize people, life would be so much more varied and fun for everybody.

Denn  your work with photos is amazing and your understanding of the processes is profound. Thanks for the enjoyment you have given me just watching what you do!

Now....If only my left brain connected to my right brain.....
I feel a song coming on !  unfortunately knowing it gives my age away too.
