I am looking again for Mary Winterton age 37 in Whittlesea. Her husband James would be age 44 if he is still living. Children, Alice age 10 or 11, James age 13. Thank you.

Thanks Patrish but I wonder now who was the father of Elizabeth,Susan,Charles, and John born after 1851? As I am direct descendant from Charles hence Bartholomew and Thomas cannot be my ggg & gggg grandfathers as family records have always indicated? Does world tree have the name of the father of any of the children born to Mary Winterton after 1851?

Unfortunately  not,  I do see what you mean, it is odd, perhaps best to try and trace James death on bmd to see if it is correct. I have never seen one of these World Trees before,

There is no death record on freebmd for James Winterton at all between 1844 and 1861. There is only one much later about 1890 taking place in Essex though but doesn't give age. Maybe it hasn't been transcribed yet. I can't access Ancestry.com beta version BMD's with my WEBTV. Could you possibly check there for me for James' death?

Yes sure, sorry about the previous mistake I have now amended it, as you can see they were births not marriages, I am getting confused now

Searched the gov indexs, none in 1851 but I found this

December quarter 1861 James Winterton, 3b - 292 CHESTERTON, according to map this is not far from Whittlesey.
