Thankyou very much,I,lltry and check up on that with the Grimsby registry office or I believe Grimsby Library hold record on micro film but it helps a great deal if you know the year and month.
Thanks again Kim

Hi Alli,
It,s definately the wright William Cooper in Grimsby who married Elizabeth (Scargill),her sister was Eliza Scargill who,s married name was Owen ,but was widdowed.I think they both married very young at Hull Holy Trinity. It,s quite possible there was another child to William and Elizabeth other than Alfred,my sister-in law seemed to think there were two, maybe it was the 8month William you found (named after his grandad ).I.ll have to check up her info.
I have Alfred and Margaret having 8 children,Eliza V.,Beatrice,Margaret,Alfred W.,Ernest A.,Charles F.,John T.,and Albert,(Charles Frederick being my grandad). So where is Ann e.that you found in 1871,do you think she may have died as it seems many infants died in those days?
Many thanks for all your info ,the baptisms in Longton sound hopeful.William states on early cencus that he was born in Lane End and later he says Longton, after reseaching the area Lane End is north of Longton and in the 1840,s it started to be refered to as one place- Longton.Just to complicate things more I,ve read that they changed the name of Lane End Church to St.Johns Longton. The population of Longton was far bigger than Lane End.Having looked at free on line records it shows alot of Coopers in the Longton area,so it,s been like looking for a needle in a haystack!!!Hopefully I will find the william Cooper I,m looking for soon, thanks again for all your help

Hi,I was walking around Old Clee Church Cleethorpes last night just looking at old headstones and came across a young girl that had died in 1875. I took a photo and did a little research  into her. I then googled her father's name and I came across you. From what I've read of your posts there seems to be a mention of Ann Elizabeth Cooper born 1865,I came across her as I said earlier. She died on 29th November 1874. I have tried to attach a photo off the headstone for you but I can't seem to do it. Hope to hear from you soon. ANDY
