Hi Ricky
I don't think this is my John Marshall unfortunately - could be a Cousin though - I feel this family is a connection - time will tell.

I have my John on the 1861/1871 and 1881 before he died. His age is consistant througout 37, 47 and 57yrs.  He always notes his birth as Cresswell in 1824, but I have no idea who his parents were ..... yet.

Thank you so much for going to all this trouble for me, I do appreciate it.

Thank you Ricky .......... looks like you've found him - I'm sure that's got to be him (unfortunately not with his parents).
I'm having difficulty sorting out which Isabella he married, there were 3 or 4 John & Isabella's all married around the same time ..... I'm not sure about the Tynemouth marriage.  I'm waiting for a copy birth cert for their son which should confirm his mother's maiden name.  Hopefully then I can get a copy of their marriage cert and I'll be able to get further back.

Thank you once again, you've been very helpful - so kind of you and much appreciated
