Oh Emmeline, I'm sorry to say I have no idea.  Years ago my mother would tell me about the big trunks inside the walls at my grandmother's house full of dolls and dresses, I would ask my grandmother if I could see the trunks, and she would say no, I got rid of them.  I never really believe her, so when she died (I was 15 years old) and my mother had to sell the house I though, aha, now's my chance so I went over, took the panelling off the walls and climbed in, well the trunks really were gone, but I found a large box of photographs and postcards, sitting there amongst the insulation.  The postcards range from 1907 to 1911.  One of them is from my gr-gr-grandmother to my grandmother when she was about 3 years old.  Some of the pictures are marked on who they are, and some are not.  I have tried showing them to people, but they all seem to be dated 1870-1910, so not to many around to ask.

So, I believe they are my family, but not sure who they are

She does look like she may be pregnant, but do you think if she was she would have her picture taken?  I thought woman were kept out of site while "in that condition", boy wouldn't they roll over in the graves now if they saw all the bellies being flaunted ;D

Cazza, he did do a wonderful job didn't he.

Here's another version for you Karen

I was gonna try to merge the chap with another picture to create some detail, like I did with the womans dress, but I couldn't find a suitable donor picture, so he sort of drops off into shadow. Bit of a cheat, I know, but its all I can do until or unless I find the right picture. If I do find it, I'll post a corrected version.

Wow the photo folks do some wonderful restores!  The photograph is in the exact style of an 1873 wedding photo that I have of my g grandparents - and a number of my 1800 families were started very shortly after the wedding day - so I wonder if it is a wedding photo?

This is mine (1873) - thought it may help verify the date - Prue is very good with the dating - the dresses look very similar to my untrained eye.
