Nothing happened!
I'm not sure the photo is actually on the hard drive..how do I get it there.  First I scanned it into Photoshop, and opened a file Mum and me, that didn't work, then I sent it to my pictures, that didn't work, it keeps coming up, there is no file Mum and me....help, where am I going wrong?

It worked for me the second time.  First photo was too large!

This is me in 1999.  I'm not usually so smart.

I don't believe it :o

In an attempt to upload my obligatory 'This was me when I was little" photograph,I selected my favourite one (with a mildly amusing story connected to it) ,managed to scan it OK,and then I tried and tried to get it to upload, and could I do it? could I ....! no I couldn't  :(

I think it must be a firewall thing, or a connection thing,it could be a browser thing, maybe an antivirus software thing, but I suspect, in all probability, it's an incompetent user thing ;D

I did have a bright idea though, could someone else do it for me if I emailed the image to them?  :-\

Its a JPEG and 28kb, so if anyones willing to give it a go,PM me with an email address and I'll send it over :)

Mick ;)

Edit:It's OK,Kazza's sorted it for me ;D

Goodness,now I'm embarrassed :-[

But it had to be done :)

OK now the mildly amusing story.

That photo was taken in the 60s when we lived in Khartoum.Seconds after it was taken I had my first car crash (to date I've only ever had two)

It might be worth noting that 'my' car was the earlier model of Barry Bears car (which if you look carefully is sporting a rather fetching blue light and some go faster stripes)

Due to my relative lack of experience in the world of motoring,I 'got out' of the vehicle by stepping on the back of it and guess what? it pivoted on the rear axle and the front shot up and both me and the car ended up sprawled on the lawn much to the amusement of my parents and their friends who had witnessed the spectacle.

Once I had composed myself, and to prove to all of the watching adults that I was,in fact, a very good driver,I decided on an exhibition of my skills. That would impress them I thought.

We lived in a huge house with a veranda that seemed to go on forever and so I positioned my machine at one end and set off as fast as I could go.

I was determined to impress, and as I whizzed by, I had a look to make sure everyone was watching, but they weren't,so I got their attention by shouting something like"hey, look at me,vrooom" Once I realised that I had their undivided attention,I concentrated on my display, but it was too late,I was running out of veranda and everyone was watching,I didnt know how to stop and I shot off the end,and had my second ever accident.

But the worse thing was that it was about a 6 foot drop off the end and I landed in the biggest, nastiest thorne bush you have ever seen(ouch).

Of course all the adults rushed to my aid and found me with loads of  huge thorns stuck all over. It took forever to get them all out.

I went off cars after that, and adults ;D

Mick ;)
