( Somerset) 1841 Census Lookup Request Please For Solomon Rossiter

I am looking for information please about the parents and siblings of Solomon Rossiter born Mells circa 1807/8.

There was only one other Soloman ROSETER  B 1811, no birth place as he was living in Worcestershire.

Many thanks for that. Can you check the Solomon from Worcestershire in the 1851 Census please and see if you can get a birthplace please?

hi there.

Not good news, i cant find him in 1851.

i have look the whole of the census for a soloman that matches
looked at every Rossiter , not there, looked at different spelling - not there.

There is no Roseter's of any first name, around that time there either.

Had a look in Wales to see if he was hiding there, but no luck,, have you found him in 1861 as i had a quick look there and no luck either.

What other spelling have you come across for Rossiter.

Hi Ann,

Thanks for that.The various spellings for Rossiter are Roseter, Rosseter, Rositter,Rossitter, Rositer but sometimes the style of handwriting confuses "p" and "f" with "s" so you might get what looks like Roffiter or Roppiter when it is in fact Rossiter.
