Could anyone assist with any information re Edward Hayward Budd and Maria McDonald who married in 1809 in St Marys Marylebone London and resided in Highworth Wiltshire.
Is it possible to obtain a marriage certificate for this period as I am trying to ascertain parentage.

Unfortunately, marriage certificates as such didn't appear until 1837, but it is possible that the parish record might help a bit.

It would be unusual at that period for parents names to be given, but it was quite common for siblings to be witnesses, especially if the couple were local.  Have you got access to the parish records in London?

I've also just noticed that 2 people have submitted family trees to Ancestry containing your couple. One of them gives birth and parentage details for both parties. Do you have access to Ancestry (they don't seem to be in the free bit  :( )
