Perhaps you are familiar with Moray's Heritage Site.

Margaret Ann Cramond or Crammond - maiden name Milne born about 1876 - parents John Grigor and Mary Milne.

I have further info on Margaret Cramond or you can check for yourself at the above site - such as date of marriage, where and by whom and husband's occupation.  I could not fine anything on this site for a John Grigor & Mary Milne marriage.

Torrygirl  Note:  You have noted that the parent of Margaret was JAMES and this site states the name was JOHN GRIGOR.  Maybe this will help if you look for a different forename.

Thank you!  I really appreciate you taking the time.

Could you give me a note of the website please?  I cannot find it  ::)

I think the site that torrygirl is referring to might be this one http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/mainmenu.asp

I've had a quick search but couldn't get it to come up with any results (must be doing something wrong!)

Regards.

Found her, I was searching under maiden name Milne but she is showing Grigor. Her reference no. is NM028522. You will see that her father John Grigor has a reference to Farmer Bogend Lhandbryde which will hopefully help you in your searches.  So jury's still out as to whether John and Mary Milne were married or not?

Lhanbryde is 4 miles east of Elgin

Just google Undiscovered Scotland Lhanbryde and read all about it.

Lhanbryde is in Moray, see www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/lhanbryde/lhanbryde/info.html

Also on multimap, www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat=57.6348&lon=-3.2209&scale=25000&icon=x
I notice that just SE of Lhanbryde is a place called Bogton ( I wonder if John Grigor's birthplace - if that is what this reference is - or maybe it's where he farmed, should be Bogton not Bogend?

Thank you.  I shall dig around and see if I can find ref to a farm in Bogton or Bogend.  Strange I cannot find them on census returns.

Thanks again  :)
