Help reading a certificate please.
« on: Friday 07 July 06 12:13 BST (UK) »
Sorry it's sideways, can't figure out how to put it the right way up!

Can you please tell me the parish name. Residence @ time of marriage and Profession of father please (John Fuller)

With the line under Thomas Blackaby's name and through his occupation, do you think he's dead?

Thanks,

Paul.

Occupation looks like Brewer.   I am afraid I do not know the county well enough to hazard a guess at the parish.  Have you looked on a map?  Which district was it registered in?  I see it is Ware so that should cut it down.

Parish is Great Amwell.  Occupation definitely brewer.  Residence - um, looks like it ends -ch.  Unfortunately the scan doesn't enlarge very well!  Unless Rick beats me to it ( ;D ), I'm going to look at some maps!

Hi

I think the surname is acutally Filler.

Parish looks like Great Amwell.

Occupation - Brewer.

Can confirm these details with 1851 census.

Oh yeah, it is Filler, but it changes from time to time, so I get confused! LOL
