Hi Steven
Thankyou for clarifying that.

The Marylebone baptisms are indeed my family.  IT looks as though it is the father from that family( ie Edward Hannell ) who was born in Woburn in 1791.(dates from census add up)

Therefore it looks as though this Edwards parents were  Edward and Mary Fensham marr. 1784. This Edwards parents were John and Dorothy Hannell.

So if I have that correct, means you have kindly found me another generation in the likes of John and Dorothy.

Do you think I have that right?
Thanking you so much for all your trouble and helpfuless
Regards
Lyn

Lyn,

It looks likely that you are right.  I've never searched the Woburn burials after 1813, so I don't have ages at death for those two Hannells, but if they match the Hockliffe baptisms I would regard it as nearly proof that they are the right people.

You will find this website very useful, as it contains the transcript of the will of Edward Hannell of Woburn (and some other Hannells - unfortunately the link to Michael Hannell's will seems to be dead).

Hi Steven

Thats fantastic.   :)  Many thanks for that website.  I actually had no idea that they were available online.

Such records add more interest to the family information as well as giving extra details.

This has  been greatly appreciated,
Best wishes

Hi Linda
Wow, thankyou for that.  I have right this minute just checked out that website of the Will.  How did you find that?

Thanking you for all that family info.  I am most appreciative.

Hi,

I am tracing the Hannell family from Woburn as well. Many of the names above are familiar. I would love to speak with someone who may have more information. Was anyone successful in tracing Mary Fensham's family? Edward Hannell and Mary Fensham were my 4x Great Grandparents.
