Go on, you've tempted me - have you got them in 1901?

Are you still interested in Amy Grace Bathe's family?

Darcy's help mentioned her father, Edward Bathe born in Plumstead. He was the brother of my GGrandfather George William Bathe, also born in Plumstead.
Their father was William Bathe, born about 1817 in WROUGHTON, who went to Lodnon in 1840 to join the Metropolitan Police. Her married Mary Barber in Charlton in 1844 and the couple had six children - five boys: George, Edward, Henry, William and James - and a daughter Esther who died in infancy. Of the boys, Edward and Henry went back to Wrought working as engineers (probably with GWR) while the others brought their families up in south east London.

I have some more info is you are interested, but I haven't been able to trace the Wiltshire origins of the first William back far, beyond the fact that his father was also William!

Hello

I live in the house of Edward and Mary Bathe and have uncovered their original wallpaper going up the stairs and on the landing. We are going to preserve quite a large section but it would be great to show their ancestors before we paint over...
