Leanne,
I can confirm that the information you gave me above are my descendants.  I'm so thrilled and thank you for your wonderful help.
I am still awaiting more details from rellies in South Africa, but I'm ecstatic, to say the least. ;D.  At last, I have something concrete to go on.

Regards

I have now been able to ascertain, through research, (and those wonderful people in the Chatroom  :-* - thank you, thank you), that Enoch Warren James UREN died in 1847, as I could not work out why he didn't show up on the Passenger List with Mary, his wife.  I subsequently found out that he and Mary had other children and I am guessing that because they were the older children, they were married and/or decided not to travel to South Africa.

I would love to know if anyone can link up these particular Uren's who either stayed in Cornwall or moved elsewhere.  They are the older children of Enoch Warren James UREN and Mary UREN (born MARTIN):

Mary UREN born 12 July 1835
John UREN born 6 May 1838
Grace Martins UREN born 25 December 1831

Look forward to any information.

Wonderful, wonderful news.  Martywillis, one of our members, has been such a tremendous help, as has our whoopzadaizi too.  They have been instrumental in helping me find a couple of cousins.  1st cousins too, I might add.

I just wanted to say a very special thank you to Rutti for the Esme Bull information and to Marty for all her wonderful help.  Thanks to Daizi too and to everyone of those wonderful PEEPS in the Chatroom - what a great bunch.  I will keep you updated with more information about the tree when I have heard from the other links (cousins).

Hugs

Hi,

I wondered if you could help me too.

I am looking for  Richard Eddy born Pendeen, Cornwall 10th July 1871, he is not on any census 1891 or 1901 in the UK
I know  that he was a gold miner from his death certificate in 1902 but I admit I don't know where. :-[

Regards Amber.

G'day Amber,

I wish I could help you but I haven't the foggiest idea about research.  Everything I've done has been hit and miss and sheer luck.  LOL.  Why don't you pop into the Chatroom.  There are so many wonderful, eager people who will help you.  Just try it and you'd be surprised.  Loads of help in there all the time.   They're all extremely friendly and very helpful too.

Hope to see you there soon.

G'day Amber,

I tried searching for you but could only find a Richard Eddy born in August 1871 in Pendeen, Cornwall.

Did your Eddy's go to South Africa?  Is that where he died?

You could try checking Passenger lists - there are loads of links re South Africa - just look for them right here on RootsChat and happy checking.

I will get back to you if I can find anything - don't hold your breath though LOL.

I am really excited about what you have found, my Richard Eddy was born July 1871...but Baptism22 AUGUST 1871.
Trewellard, Pendeen St Just. ;D ;D

He is missing on the 1891 and 1901 census. he married in 1889 in Pendeen to Eliza Jane Thomas, of Tregeseal-----
Pendeen, then died 1902 Trewellard. Pendeen

Going to have a mooch around.
