Got this Occupation, which I'm unsure of.

Looks to me as of it says gr H D.

Any other ideas?

Man or a woman? Age of the person, area, do you know what their occupation is in other censuses? I'm not sure about the first bit but I'd say a yes to 'H D'; unfortunately it's hard to know what this means without some sort of context.

Are other occupations on the same page also abbreviated in this manner?

Male, 61 years, Wormley, Hertfordshire.

And I can't seem to find them on other census', and the only appear as H Wood, on this census.

Hi
Is it the 1851 census? Is his name Good not Wood?

I cannot think of what it could be apart from:

apprentice hair dresser!
Phd!

I did wonder if it said MD but I cannot make it fit.
