WALKER marriage in Oxfordshire - COMPLETED
« on: Wednesday 26 July 06 18:37 BST (UK) »
I've come to a bit of a dead end and wonder if anyone out there could lend a fresh pair of eyes please?

I know that John and Susannah Walker had at least three children, all baptised in Standlake, Oxfordshire: John christened 1794, Mary christened 1796 and Maria christened 1802.  I've scoured the parish registers of the Witney registration district but can't find a reference to John & Susannah's marriage.

Could anyone look this pair up in the Oxfordshire marriage records for me?

Hi Katie ...

From the OFHS's Oxfordshire Marriage Index (1538-1837):

01 MAY 1793 - John WALKER (Standlake) to Susannah COPPIN at Minster Lovell

You can't get a much better result than that!

Hi KN,
I visited Standlake churchyard yesterday, and found the gravestone of the Walker family you mention in your previous posts. If you PM me your email address, I can send the photo's of the gravestone...it is an impressive gravestone with all the family.....I am also tracing the Walker family.
