Was your ancestor on the Waratah?
« on: Thursday 27 July 06 20:43 BST (UK) »
Passenger and crew lists of the Waratah, which disappeared between Durban and Cape Town in July 1909, have recently been uploaded on Genealogy World.

Ages and occupations of passengers who embarked in Australia are included; also list of passengers who disembarked at Durban (the lucky ones, not usually heard about!), and those who joined the ship at Durban for its final fateful voyage.

These lists have been transcribed from original handwritten records of the Natal Immigration Restriction Department.
