has anyone got the parish records of abbeycwmhir. I am looking for the birth/christening records of margaret brown(e) born abt. 1816  the only census i have margaret in is the 1851 census she was married and living in crumlin myneddislwyn  would like to find her in 1841 census  her married name was hawthorn.

I think her maiden name may not have been Brown as her Daughter Jane Brown is listed as a step daughter in1851.
 Probably 1841 listing in Monmouthshire  set out below.

In 1861 and 1971   Margaret Hawthorn and family are in
Glamorgan

Hello Jere

On the 1851 census Margaret b 1817 is in Monmouthshire with John Hawthorne,28.
The children listed are Jane,10 ,John,3 , Margaret,4 , Maria,6 , Thomas,9 , these children are all Brown. Then there is Fanny Hawthorne age 8 months.

On the 1841 census its Charles Brown, Margaret and Jane age 10 months.

It appears Hawthorne may be her 2nd marriage.
I will look at the BMD to see if I can find any marriages.
