emigrated to USA about 1843
died Boston Mass 23 May 1870

Found them in the 1841 Wales census:

Robert E Mosely, Watchmaker, age 25 living in Swansea at (?) Couch's (?)Building (Difficult to read) ref HO 107/1426/2

His family are living in Goat (?) Street HO 107/1426/4

Jacob Mosely age 70 watchm.
Abigail age 60
Emma 20
Abraham 20
Anna 15
+ Mary Jones 15  a servant

Thankyou - yes that's my Moseley family in Swansea (1841 census).

I was hoping for help with the USA connection.. the 1850 & 1860 USA censuses and possibly if he was on the shipping list

Abigail Phillips is 3rd great-grandaunt her sister Catherine Cohen (née) Philips is my 3rd great-grandmother making Robert Ellis Moseley my 1st cousin four times removed. I'm working on a genealogical project the aim is to record the lineal and collateral descendants of Jacob and Catherine Cohen Swansea, Wales, 1773.
