WW1-India? Which regiments?

I know that an uncle was sent to India in WW1, but have no idea which English Regiments were sent.

He and My Dad came from Ashford Middlesex. and  Dad served in the Royal Artillery.

If Uncle was also in the R.A is there a site where I can find his service record, (he survived so CWGC is not an option)

It's all a bit vague but I would  welcome any suggestions
