aaron gambling married mary ann munday 5th may 1835 salisbury wilts.st martins.

these are buried at st peter the great chichester-
charlotte aged 43yrs buried 23rd april 1855
elizabeth aged 4+ buried 26th sept 1855
john aged 8+ buried 25th july 1844
mary aged 9+ buried 14th sept 1835
fanny lydia aged 4yrs buried 13th june 1866
henry aged 41yrs buried 19th nov 1880
james aged 80yrs buried 25th nov 1880
jr aged 2+ buried 4th jan 1882
margaret aged 32yrs buried 30th march 1875
mary mabel aged 1 day buried 18th feb 1875

this one at chichester st pauls-
john aged 74yrs buried 1st april 1858

this one at whiteparish all saints-
robert aged 66yrs buried 28th jan 1835

Thanks for that,
I am still having problems with the Tilshead / Whiteparish connection which is mainly due to the changes the Surname went through around that time so far I have 8 different spellings.
I am sure I have missed some as well as names keep popping up that in my heart I know are connected but for which I have no parents.
Thanks again for you help it is much appriciated.

I came across your message about the gambling family of tilshead.
I am from a gabriel gambling 1650 tilshead ,wiltshire his wife was elizabeth 1653-1715.
They had the following childrenElizabeth 1676,Gabriel 1678 [my line] Frances 1680,John1682-1732,George 1685,Thomas 1687,James 1689,Richard 1688

Gabriel gambling junior 1678 married twice ist to joane aldridge
married 1702 had  4 children william 1704-1706,william 1708,george 1711-1794,gabriel 1715-1715

2nd wife susannah draper born 1688 parents thomas and elizabeth
draper.
Children
Robert 1720,mary 1722,gabriel 1725 ,james 1732 my line,

James gambling  married hannah adams born 1732 from amport,hampshire this isde moved to fareham hampshire and the surname changed to gamblin.

James and hannah gamblin had the following children
William 1757 amport,james 1754 amport marredik elizabeth coster 1777,john 1760,mary 1762 married thomas cooper 1793,
John 1765 married jane sturgess and anne stephens,William  my line.

William gamblin married a martha biddle born 1755 southhampton
Children
William 1779,james 1781,john 1782,george 1786,samuel 1786,benjamin 1790 my line,joseph 1799,mary 1802,

Benjamin gamblin married a jane binstead and a few other variants
of the surname as well.
And so on if you find a connection here as they started of in tilshead like the others message me on

Hi Avongirl,
The problem I am having here is that I have 2 William's recorded for James and Hannah one in 1757 and the other 1769 who Married Sarah Turten.
The 1769 William suggest to me that the 1757 William died as a child although I have not been able to find any evidence to that effect.
I am now re researching the William of 1769 just to make sure I have his parents correct and if everything comes up as I expect it to from previous efforts I am just going to have to except that for whatever reason James and Hannah did have 2 Sons named William.
