London 1841 census lookup please
« on: Sunday 31 October 04 12:50 GMT (UK) »
I'm a beginner who has come to a bit of a deadend!

I have a direct ancestor - Thomas Gibbins - whom I know married for the second time in 1810. He was alive at the time of his daughter's wedding in 1842. He does not appear in the 1851 census.

I've yet to find out when he was born.

A look up in the 1841 census would be a great help!

Hello David

London is split into two, Middlesex and Surrey, what side of the Thames was he?
Where did Thomas marry, when he married 2nd time ? Parish/district/county
Who was Thomas Gibbins second wife ?
Where did his daughter marry ? in 1842, Parish/district/county
What is his daughters name? what is her husbands name ?

it all helps when trying to trace!

Regards
Bryant

You have also realised that the birthplace for 1841 census returns is simply a matter of inside/outside County? You may have to work on a backup plan.
