« on: Sunday 06 August 06 06:17 BST (UK) »
Can any one help with  Charles Sowter  living in St Pancras 1790---1820 or

thereabouts.   Would like to find a marriage for 3 generations of Charles

Sowter's  all in the same area.

Beeminnie,
Can you be specific with the information you want?  His dob for example.  What information you already have.  Isn't St. Pancras in the City of London?

Hallo Jane--thank you for answering.

I have found the wills for two Charles Sowter's which put them as being born around the mid to late 1700's . They are the right family and the addresses for them are always around  St Pancras (Lambeth).

I have hunted the IGI for the dates of birth's--cannot even find the marriage of Charles Sowter to Ann Selwyn ?  probably about 1810.

SOOOOO  any information on Sowter's ,certainly 3 generations of Charles in the general London area --but the wills give St Pancras addresses.

Many thanks
Barbara

Barbara,
St. Pancras is in the parish of Middlesex.....see this GENUKI page  http://homepages.gold.ac.uk/genuki/MDX/StPancras/index.html

So it would be better to post your query on the London/Middlesex pages of Rootschat,

Happy Hunting,

jane
