Marriage Record Help?

Hello!

I've figured out who my great-gran's parents were, now I'm wondering if there is a marriage record of them:

He:  William J Williams (also listed on ancestry.com as "Williams Williams") born AUG 1861
She:  Annie Williams (maiden name unknown) born JUNE 1865.  In 1900 they were already married 17 years which would put them at about 1884/1885 when they got married.  William emmigrated from Wales in 1880.  Their oldest child Rodger was born in 1885-ish in Illinois but Annie is from Maryland, so they could have been married in Illinois OR Maryland (later they moved to Maryland as well).

could someone help or guide me to where I can look for this information?
