1871 lookup PUGSLEY please
« on: Monday 01 November 04 00:13 GMT (UK) »
Could anyone do a quick look up for me?  I am looking for John PUGSLEY (b 1839 Exford or Dulverton) and family.  During this year they moved to Glamorgan so I am not sure if they will still be in Somerset?

Any information gratefully received.

Many thanks

Lisa

I believe this has been answered on the Glamorgan board, so just thought I'd mark it as sorted  :)

I had a look at both Somerset and Glamorgan and came to the same conclusion. There were no close matches in Somerset.

 ???

Hi Heather

thanks for your message.  Unfortunately neither of the Glamorgan John Pugsleys are mine.  There are three of them all born in 1839 from Somerset who appear on later census returns.  Mine is from Exford / Dulverton.  He moved to Glamorgan from Dulverton some time before January 1871 because his second son George was born in Aberkenfig then.  His wife was Elizabeth born 1844 in Dulverton and had a daughter Elizabeth born 1867 Exford and another son John born 1869.  It seems they may gave slipped through the net on the 1871 census!!

Thanks for looking though

With best wishes

Lisa
