It does look like Sarah, with the surname of Godden, it could it be a Hebrew name. What about  'Larah' [variant of Lara]?, Atarah [a crown] Chanah [Grace]  Jarah [Honey] Ketarah [Fregrant incense] Zaharah [a blossom or flower].
