Hi Jan

I've had repeats of what is shown in the IGI  and your posting has had 90 hits but nothing has been added to what is already known.   I'm beginning to accept that 'Faresday' was a incorrect transcription - it does seem the most likely explanation and so far I have found no sounds-like names that might fit a possible birth date for Ann, nor indeed for Roger.  Guess I will have to draw a line, however I will keep the matter open.   There is a Rootsweb web site for Parish Registers but it is still being tested and not yet active.   Something may yet turn up in the longer term

Many thanks for your interest

Gerry
