David Ede age 54 Unmarried, Formerly House Porter born Dorking.
David is now recorded as Blind

Have just found David in 1881 census aged 87 but no mention of being blind. He died in early 1883.

I have an Alice EDE married to a Thomas Skilton in Dorking in 1814 which may be Richard Ede's younger sister Alice c 1793.

Do you see any sign of this couple at all? Seems a little young to marry but maybe she was older at the christening date.

This Henry EDE is not from my direct line but must link up early 1700's and is well documents on the EDE forum by someone in the States. I have found 10 children for this couple mostly born in neighbouring villages.

In fact this Henry has a brother Thomas who's birth date tied in better with the Thomas married to Ann that you found. The Thomas's are confusing and mine was born in Newdigate a neighbouring parish.

Yes, I found them in 1851 but was waiting until the end

That is an excellent idea and one that will assist others besides myself in the long run. Of course I think around 1851 many of the younger generation were moving away so I don't want you hunting all over the country. I can only thank you once again and say you're doing a terrific job.
