Looking for parents of Edward ROSSITER born Oakhill Somerset 1856, he married a Elizabeth QUICK in 1881 in Chard Somerset.

Hi Shanko,

I have an Edward Rossiter with family in 1871 Shepton Mallet, but he is 16 and gives his birthplace as Leigh on Mendip (younger children born Shepton Mallet). Given that Oakhill was only 3 miles away, do you think this a possibility?

Yes thats them, I also just found the census for him in 1891 and his birth place on this census is Leigh on Mendip

Hi,
I'm building up a Rossiter database and have been working on Ressiters born  in the Shepton Mallet registration area. I don't have this family listed. Do you have any more information..dates of birth/marriage/death etc. Also do you know who Edward's parents were to help me link the family up to those I have please?

I have my Rossiters details and I do have others who Im now finding connections to thanks to a new cd I bought the 1851 Somerset census so have quite a few

I am not 100% sure of Edwards parents I have an inkling thought so won't give out anything until I am 100% sure or it could put everything out of whack
