Passenger List for FAIRSEA
« on: Sunday 20 August 06 08:33 BST (UK) »
Hi everybody,

could somebody please tell me how I can get a passenger list for the FAIRSEA which departed Southampton on 31.05.1968 and arrived in Fremantle 29.06.1968. I think it then went on to Sydney.

Hello

Would you believe I came out on the Fairsea nov 1968
and landed Fremantle Xmas day 1968.
You can view passengers lists on line I think on the National Archives of Australia, you could google Australian Government sites.

I did a look up once found my cousin and family but not me. Since I had a virus and did a clean up I cannot find all the sites I had listed off hand I cannot remember where I looked.

However, if you do not know the name ,per Cazay's suggestion as I gather you  may not, then  the National Archives site may not be able to help ONLINE with Fairsea enquiries.

An inquiry through their RESEARCH section will be the way to go.

Hallo Pam, Cazay and Sue

thanks for the replies to my post. We tried for many years to find some information on which ship my husband came to Australia. Looking through some old posts I found the NAA site and was lucky this time - in an old pass port we found the entry date in Fremantle and that helped to narrow the times down.
Next thing I thought about a passenger list. It seems it's outside the range on the Internet or I just can't find it. I am rather new at both, computer and research and have trouble finding the right ways.
Thanks again for your help - I will get better.

HI MZ,
Sue has the right idea, if you can't find the names on the NAA website, it's probably just that they haven't been indexed yet.  Try searching for the FAIRSEA with date 1968, and if you still have no luck, contact the research people at the NAA.  The link to their Immigration research services is here:
