marriage and baptism/births in Alloa?

I would love it if someone could help with this...

I am trying to find a marriage for Thomas Robertson and Jean Wallace in Alloa or somewhere else in Clackmannershire. It would be around 1779 as I have found a baptism for their daughter Catherine in Alloa that year.

I think they then moved to Stirling in Stirlingshire before 1781 where the next child was born.

If the marriage was earlier there may be more children also.

Hi Kathox have you tried scotlandspeople it is a pay to view site but can be very helpful.There is also the chance they had an irregular marriage happy hunting

Yes, thankyou for the suggestion, but I exhausted all the info Scotlands people had to offer before making any posts on Rootschat.  I was hoping someody with access to parish records might be able to help me further.

Hi again i had quite a lot of ancestors in Clackmannan and Stirling try the Clackmannan library archives libraries[at]clacks.govt.uk.I have been searching for a number of years for my 3x grandparents marriage and have never found it they possibly they had an irregular marriage it can be very frustrating cant it

Stirling Library also hold a lot of the records. The staff are very helpful.
I think if they check for you there is a fee for this.

I have been trying to find a birth record for james Izatt born in 1854 or 1855 mother Elizabeth Izatt maiden also Izatt I think he may be illegitmate any answers out there

The only entry that fits on IGI is an actual extract from the Old Parish Registers:

JAMES IZZATT  Birth: 25 APR 1854/ Christening: 14 MAY 1854 Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland
Parents: Father: GEORGE IZZATT    Mother: ELIZABETH PATERSON

Have you been able to confirm mother's maiden name through any documents?

From a parent search with these names (Izzat and Paterson) on IGI there are a number of submitted and actual birth/marriage records for children to this couple. Do you know of any siblings to your James that would help you confirm whether you have the right family?

On the 1861 Census, there are two James Izatt showing, both age 6. Either one could potentially be yours. One is in DUNFERMLINE LANDWARD/FIFE and the other is in RUTHERGLEN, GLASGOW CITY/LANARK.

I also noticed there is a marriage on IGI between a James Izatt and an Elizabeth Izatt, an actual extract from the OPRs:

Marriage: 27 NOV 1843  Clackmannan, Clackmannan, Scotland

These are the children showing for this couple, including a James:
