Hope I have not missed anything ems, coming in late may not have finger on the pulse,

But here it is .....Think the death for Liz is right but there are 4 between 1851 - 1861 for the same namesake in the area, but only one Shepton Mallet.  There is a poss that the first children were born out of wedlock to Hester/Job.  

Will try to see if I can find Hester before marriage as well to see if she is a widow.  The only way to prove is through birth certs though, as you know.

Saw other deaths, but thought as everything else was reg in Shepton Mallet, it fit.
Couldn't find Hester May before marrying Job. Even tried all Hesters born around time and place......how many..lol!!

Like you ems, cannot find Hester before as 'May', name soundlikes are all servants anyway, no family with them.

Hat off...you have uncovered the magority of info and I do not think there are 2 'Job' as mentioned think first children are out of wedlock.

Poster needs to buy certs to determine who parents are if they need the info.
