Hi all,

can anyone read this girl's name in the 1841 census?

looks like Epsa Newton. Is Epsa a girl's name???? it's transcribed as Epra

all thoughts very welcome

Have you looked for her in 1851?  I guess she might be married by then, but you could try BMDs too...

as arranroots says, looking in 1851 might help.

She was born in Elmdon in Essex. I can't find the family on 1851 at all. Just found her brother Charles in 1871 but is married and has his own family by then!

also - just tried freebmd - no marriages for a mystery girl. just Susan, John and William Newton

Ipsa is a name I have seen on some census forms...Although It does more resemble an "E" cap....J.J.
