Hello Debbie and Dominic and Chris,
I have got your notes for the graves that you would like photographed and will do my best to locate them and take some photographs to send to you.
I have an email address for Dominic. If Debbie and Chris could send me their email address privately.  I can hopefully send photos to them when I return.
Regards Brenda
p.s. Ray  I have never actually found any of my relatives graves on the site that you mention.  I did find one of the requests that I have and there was a 'voluntary' charge of £5-£10 to view the grave,
I shall be undertaking the project of finding anybody's memorial / grave totally free because I shall enjoy doing it and it gave me a great satisfaction to see my Grandfather's name on Tyne Cot's wall.
That's not to say that the site is purely commercial and is probably doing a good job on a larger scale than my personal quest.

Hi Brenda,
Are you sure that it was the British War Memorial Project that you were looking at? There is another site that I have heard of that does charge I believe, but as a volunteer that has taken and supplied several hundred to BWMP I would be very annoyed to find that they are asking for a 'donation' it was never mentioned when I volunteered to join in at my own expense.

Hello Ray
Yes, I followed your link and decided to try to find a photo of one of the requests that has been made:
Percy Challinor...Irish House Cemetery.
This is from the result on that search on the site:

How much does it cost?
We don't charge for photos, but do politely suggest that you donate £5 or £10 for either emailed or posted - respectively. Donations in excess of these amounts are of course warmly welcomed. The donation goes towards the cost of printing and mailing photos and helps support the Online Memorial.

Have a search Ray, just to make sure.
Here is the link for the above named fellows grave photo:

Yes Ray,
Those details were on the website.
However when I clicked to look at the picture of the grave (which they said they did have) There was a 'polite suggestion' of donating £5 - £10 to view the photo
Regards
Brenda

Hello BJO,

I think you are AMAZING to offer to take pics for so many people !

There is an elderly lady in our village that I go and chat to regularly; we were talking about her Uncle Ossy, who died in Ypres ... and I suddenly remembered I'd seen this thread !

Is it at all possible you are going near to Chester Farm Military Cemetery ??

If so, she would dance with delight to receive a pic of her Uncle Ossy's grave (despite her creaky hips and dodgy back !)

I'll send you a personal message with her Uncle's details ... I havent told her about this, just in case it doesn't happen !

Many thanks ... Lydart

Hi Lydart,
A personal message should be on its way to you.
I shall try my hardest to find Uncle Ozzy and get a nice photograph.  I hope that I can as it would make your old lady friend happy.
Regards,
Brenda

Hi
Are you going to Aubers Ridge Cemetery?  If so I would be so grateful if you could take a photograph of war reference VIII  B 1 - Private W Duffy, Service No 25232.

I am looking for this all over the net with no success.

Thanks in advance.
Deb

Hello Deb,
I will be going to Belgium next month and unfortunately the cemetery that you mention (Aubers Ridge) is in France.
I would have been happy to take a photo had your Private W Duffy been remembered in Belgium.
Sorry I could not help.
Regards
Brenda
